Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I can't believe that it is seven years since I ran the Bupa Great North Run on behalf of Alzheimers. Last year I did do the York Marathon relay for school (and thank you to those of you who kindly sponsored me) but I got so much grief from a number of friends, for only doing a leg of it, that I decided I had no option but to do the whole thing this year!
I am not planning to do anymore marathons after this so I will be extremely grateful if you could sponsor me, just the smallest amount it will make a huge difference. As many of you will know Alzheimers is a very debilitating disease which sadly my father suffered from. Prior to being diagnosed he ran a number of marathons, even getting into the elite veteran start of the London Marathon after his time of 3 hours 10 mins, not something I could ever achieve.
Any donations will help to go towards research into the disease or to help those who are left caring for their loved ones, an extremely difficult and emotional job.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit this page and I do really appreciate your donations, which will help to get me across that finishing line.
