Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you know mum died after a short battle with cancer on the 25th July 2012 ... she is sadly missed by all the family.  Mum was the most loving caring person in the world - who always had a smile on her face - always had time for everyone - she is an inspiration to all who knew her.  Mum and I shared a passion for travel and went on lots of adventures together.  Mums death has made me realise that life is fragile and can be taken away unexpectedly and determined to live life to the full.  I plan to go on lots of adventures and raise money in memory of my amazing mum.  All the trips and adventures I am self funding and none of the donations you contribute will be put towards my travel expenses .....  Cancer is a terrible illness....for anyone who has watched a relative or friend suffer it quiet literally is just the saddest thing.  'Be positive' just doesn't cut it once the cancer is advanced....but with the great work of CVI one day there may be a vaccine which will prolong life and spare the pain and side effects of traditional cancer therapies....  One day you may have cancer, your sister, your mum, your brother, your best friend, your grandchild....so please dig deep and help all those who are suffering in this world from an illness which now unfortunately affects 1 in 4 of us....Many thanks Amanda x
