Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Did you know that more than 300,000 children develop cancer worldwide each year? Today 80% of children with cancer in developed countries will survive. In the developing world the picture is very different, where survival rates can be as low as 10%. Thousands of children are dying unnecessarily when they could be treated or cured and World Child Cancer works to fight those odds.

The Do it for Charity London to Brighton Cycle Ride is a mass-participation cycle ride covering the 54 miles from Clapham Common in London to Madeira Drive on Brighton sea front.

I will be riding to raise funds for World Child Cancer UK.  I am hoping to raise $1500, which could pay for the treatment of 2 children with Burkitt Lymphoma in Malawi.

The money I raise could pay for life-saving chemotherapy for 8 children with cancer in Ghana. Support my ride today and with your invaluable support we could provide better care for children with cancer in the developing world.

You can learn more about World Child Cancer here: https://www.worldchildcancer.org/

Thank you for the support!

Love, Amanda

In low- and middle-income countries fewer than 1 in 10 children with cancer are diagnosed, treated or given pain relief. World Child Cancer improves cancer care for some of the world’s poorest children by creating international twinning partnerships between medics hospitals and parent support groups
