I was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma in 2016 - it‘s a non cancerous Brain Tumour and was just under two centimetres at it’s widest point.  I spent six months  on “Watch and Wait” - while we waited to see how fast it was growing.  In February 2017 I met my consultant neurologist and we decided that radiation therapy was the best approach. Just one session and hopefully it would start to shrink - thankfully 3 MRI’s later it’s now 40% smaller.

Those that know me, know how my life has changed over the past 4 years and that 3 years post treatment I am now living “My New Normal”.

As an AN Warrior every now and then I’ll accept a challenge (usually from my Grandson Jacob) and I’ll tackle something I would never have done before. Last September was a Water Slide in the Dark! It left me exhausted and exhilarated.

This year he’s challenged me to do an Aerial Adventure with him.  This could be interesting - as pre treatment I couldn’t even take my foot a log to step down without help. But I’ve accepted the challenge and hope you will all help me support the wonderful BANA, who have supported me throughout my journey.  I’m not looking to raise thousands, but anything in these strange times will help continue BANA’s efforts.
