At some point in our lives most of us have been touched in some way by the challenges that cancer brings. Maybe in connection to a cherished family member, a loving friend, or valued colleague.  Each and every individual facing the most vulnerable time in their life.

 

Maggie's is a local cancer care centre in Oxford, which exists to support anyone affected by cancer.  They will support both those going through it personally and also their family and friends, as they are often deeply affected by cancer too. Maggies know that those who love and look after someone with cancer can feel just as frightened, vulnerable and uncertain. Maggies offers a secure environment where people are welcomed whenever they need someone. 

 

Most of you would never have thought that in your lifetime you would EVER read my name in connection with sport or exercise!  Well today is that day… I am pushing myself into my stretch zone, and providing you with a laugh, and all in the name of this amazing cause!

 

On Sunday 13 May I will be joining some of my Nominet friends in a Dragon Boat on the Thames in Abingdon, Oxford, to compete for that winning position.  Yes we know it’s about taking part, and we still want to win!
