Richmond Half Marathon, 24 January 2012
We bring people together to build generational change.

Story

David and I, along with a few friends of ours, Kate, Candice and Matt, are running a Half Marathon in Richmond on the 6th May.  Prior to training, the furthest I have ever run (in my life) at one time is 10km, this is quite a stretch!  (I'm sure I had consumed 2 glasses of wine before agreeing to sign up to this)

In doing so, I would also like to raise funds for VSO.  They are an excellent organisation, that doesn't send cash to various developing countries, but rather skilled workers who can train people new skills.

For exmaple, £1,500 can help VSO keep a physiotherapist in Ethiopia, training local students in rehabilitation for amputees, OR keep a doctor in Uganda, helping local people and medics fight malaria for the long term OR keep a teacher-trainer in Nepal, establishing access to good education for the poorest children.

So any donation would be greatly appreciated!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
