Story
Hello there - thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
Just before we went on honeymoon last month, Emily, my wife, discovered a lump in her breast. Sadly, on our return this was diagnosed as cancer, which was not the idyllic start to married life we had hoped for but it is what it is. Emily is being amazing, as are (almost all) the medical people and we are just beginning treatment. The prognosis is good and we're trying to stay positive and take things one day at a time.
Em and many of her friends signed up to do Race for Life in July to raise some money for Cancer Research UK, under the team name 'Kick It' which is a marvellous cause and you can donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/kickit6
However, slightly irritatingly, it turns out it's a women only event, so I have entered the Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon because a) I can, b) it's sooner and c) it's longer. So, as you can see, the fact your wife has cancer doesn't stop you being competitive with her and her friends when you're as petty as I am.
I would be thrilled if you could make a donation however BIG or small, and rest assured, I am already in training which mostly involves chasing Bagel the dog through undergrowth. Thanks again for visiting and I think now is the time you click on the donate button as the stuff below is just about how safe and quick it all is which I'm sure you already know.
Many, many thanks
