Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page in support of Whoopsadaisy, a children’s charity that is very personal to me and my family.
To raise money for this amazing organisation I will be cycling 970 miles, from Lands End to John O’Groats, over just 8 days this July. I must be mad!
Whoopsadaisy is an independent charity that helps children with neurological disorders and physical disabilities to develop independence, confidence and self-esteem. For the past 5 years they have supported my beautiful 5-year-old niece Emily, who has a very rare genetic condition that means she is still unable to walk, talk, communicate or understand the world around her. With Whoopsadaisy’s support, Emily has been able to reach important goals that most of us take for granted, such as sitting and crawling, and we hope that one day she may be supported to walk with a frame.
Whoopsadaisy doesn’t get any central funding and relies purely on donations to continue its great work, which it offers to families free of charge. Each year it needs at least £140,000 to continue. I would therefore greatly appreciate it if you would consider supporting my mad cycling challenge by donating to this wonderful charity. In return, I promise to reward you with lots of photos of me in lycra!!!
