Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby. Our vision is that through the power of rugby every child and young person across the UK & Ireland, no matter what their background has access to the same opportunities.

Story

In just under a month's time on August 10th, I will participating in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey event. This involves cycling 100 miles (160km) through London, into the Surrey Hills, and back. I initially wasn't planning to ride for a charity, but having spoken to a friend, it seemed a waste not to use this opportunity to raise some money for a good cause.

The Wooden Spoon is the charity of British and Irish Rugby supporting mentally and physically disadvantaged children. They fund respite and medical treatment centres, specialist playgrounds, sports activity centres, and community-based programs in the UK. Please click below for more info:
