Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving Page.  My parents Olive And Sandy Walker have gone from vibrant, informed, fun living people into a world where they can no longer function independently, where the simplest tasks become mountains to climb - when they remember that the mountains are there in the first place. Both have dementia and are now both in a Carehome in Glasgow after a long and distressing four year period for both them, and the family. This is a terrible disease with no hope for the sufferers.  We need to do what we can to make day to day living for all those affected by dementia, better. This is a really tough tough journey and the caring goes on. If you’d like to make a donation to Alzheimer Scotland I’d be very grateful, as it will help them support people with dementia in Scotland. Thank you.
