Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

"Saturday 22nd June 2019" will be our 5th "Longest Day Ride" and we are repeating our first year and cycling 150 miles!

This year we will be again raising money for "Ovarian Cancer", a charity which is extremely close to all our hearts and with the pledge to raise £2000 which we smashed last year and over £1500 for each of the previous years.

Sadly as many of you will be all too aware our lovely friend Jess lost her battle to ovarian cancer earlier this year and makes this years event that much more poignant.

Myself and a few others will again be road biking 150 miles in a day.

The day will consist of 3 different routes of 25 miles which we will repeat twice. It worked very well last year so we have decided to keep it the same.

This is where you all come into it, to help, motivate and support those doing the full 150 miles we ask as many of our friends and family to cycle a 25 mile loop, the more loops you cycle the better as that support has a massive effect on our motivation.

We will be starting and finishing each lap at the bowling green. With it being 150 miles we will take it steady and we plan our speed to be around 13 miles per hour giving appropriately 2 hours per lap which gives us 5 mins to re fuel etc. We will be stopping for a quick lunch break between our 4th-5th lap.

If you would like to support us either doing 1 or 6 laps, please let me know and all we ask in return is that you make a donation to Ovarian Cancer

What doesn't challenge you won't change you so come on, dust your Lycra off and join me for a very special day raising money for an amazing charity!
