We work in disadvantaged communities to improve literacy skills and life chances

Story

On 1 June 2018 I went for a run. Since then I've run at least 2km outdoors every day - what's technically known as streaking. On 24 February 2021 - God willing - I will go for my 1000th consecutive run: K-day.

I'd love to use this milestone to support a charity that means a great deal to me. The National Literacy Trust works tirelessly to improve the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in the UK's poorest communities, because life chances and a love of learning begin with literacy.

If you'd like to support them (and me!), please donate here and then go across to my K-day Countdown Spreadsheet (you'll be sent the link) to choose the day you'd like to sponsor - on 'your' day, I'll give you a shout-out in my daily run pic and post on Facebook! You can even submit a special request for that day (someone to remember, a quote from your favourite book to read...), but NB requests for any other kind of streaking will be politely declined.

EDIT: All days have now been taken - thanks SO much! If you'd still like to support the NLT (and me!) please do donate, and I'll give you a special shoutout on Day 1000!

Thank you :-)
