I DID IT!!!!
Thank you for your donations - I have been overwhelmed at everyone's generosity. It was the hottest day of the year with temperatures up to 25oC but I finished in just under 5 hours, slightly sunburnt and slightly tired.

Hi guys,
On 23rd May I'm going to complete my first marathon (that's 26.2 miles of aching!) and would really appreciate if you would support me in this.
I'm running to raise money for the excellent work of Scripture Union Scotland in East Lohian so please dig deep and give generously. www.suscotland.org.uk
Why a marathon? When I was 17 (after 3 years of being on crutches and in a lot of pain) I was told by doctors that I probably wouldn't walk again. However, God miraculously healed my ankle! Jerome Drayton once said "To describe the agony of a marathon to someone who's never run it is like trying to explain color to someone who was born blind." Somehow a marathon seems like an appropriate way to me, who once couldn't walk the length of myself, of raising money for Scripture Union Scotland - who's vision is to give all children and young people in Scotland the opportunity to explore and respond to the significance of Jesus Christ for their lives.
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating so that an extra 25%, plus a 3% supplement, can be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thank you!
