Story
Late last year my Nan was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. As my Nan was a non smoker and led a healthy lifestyle this came as a terrible shock. Five weeks later on New Year's Day she sadly passed away at just 68 years old.
Research into lung cancer is under funded. Despite it being responsible for 22% of all cancer deaths, only 4% of money raised for cancer research is allocated to it due to the stigma surrounding this type of cancer. All the money raised will go towards lung cancer research.
On the 14th May I will be taking part in a Race for Life which will see me running 10K around Delamere Forest. Given that I haven't run for the past 10 years this will be quite a challenge but one that I am determined to tackle head on.
Please donate generously to this wonderful cause and in memory of my beautiful Nana.
