Fundraising for Voluntary Service Overseas
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Im 18 years of age and want to help stop poverty within the world, while we go on with our lives there are people all around the world who are hungry, cold, homeless and unloved. We are lucky enough to live in a world where help, care and support is just round the corner, but some people are not this lucky.
On the 2 October 2012 I will be taking part in a Skydive at Headcorn in Ashford to raise as much money as possible for the VSO ICS. This is a well known organization who send young and enthusiastic volunteers to countries all round the world to work on genuine development projects which are affecting that country and the people living there.
One problem, to make a lasting difference to every person’s life who I meet I need to raise as much money as possible, as on the 15 October 2012 I will be travelling, living and volunteering in Nigeria, Africa for 3 months. While out there I will be focusing on increasing the health, education and livelihood of as many children and adults who are struggling in Nigeria. The money donated will go toward sending more volunteers out in the future to help stop and fight poverty. Every volunteer who is choosen is 100% committed and passionate about changing as many people's lives as possible so every penny raised will be used in a positive way to change someone’s life or their community for the better.
