Story
Before Christmas last year a very close friend of mine of almost 20 years was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour.
Since then she has been having treatment and so far they've managed to reduce the size of the tumour by 25%. For the first six weeks of her treatment she stayed at Clatterbridge hospital on a ward specifically for teenagers and young people fighting against cancer which was funded by Teenage Cancer Trust. This made a huge difference as it gave her the privacy of a private room as well as great facilities e.g. PS 3 to take her mind off things.
I am so proud of the way that she and her family have coped with everything and the money that they've raised so far for charities that helped support them through this difficult time.
I often wish that there is more that I could do to help and now there is! My friend has organised a 12 mile sponsored walk along the costal paths of Anglesey in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. I ask that you sponsor me as much or as little as you want so that the money can go towards getting a teenage and young people unit at every oncology centre in the UK. I've seen how much difference it can make.
Thank you!!
