Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those of you who don't know, both of my parents died from cancer while I was growing up. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 4 and spent almost 10 years fighting it. She was one of the strongest people I've ever known, but no matter how strong you are the support, emotional and physical, which Macmillan provides can be indispensable for both cancer patients and their families. Cancer has affected pretty much all my life so far so needless to say this is a cause very close to my heart.
So, I'm running.
This isn't something which comes easily to me, as anyone who has ever seen me attempt to run can testify. During a sudden moment of determination/madness I decided to take part in the Great South Run, which this year is October 26th. I'm not promising world-class times here but I promise to make it to the end, all 10 miles, even if I have to crawl/roll/stagger across the finish...
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. Please try and give as much as you can- be it £1 or £100- because every donation means a lot to me, Macmillan, and anyone affected by cancer. Which, considering one in three of us will be diagnosed with it at some point, is an awful lot of people.
