Before my grandma pass away, I saw her almost once per month. Sometimes I just went back to my hometown take a break. I wasn’t talk to much with my grandma. I always thought I have a lot of time to accompany with her. Now I know I was wrong. And I realize I never get the chance to know her story.

When I came to London to start my new life I met North London Cares. It’s very meaningful to me. As a foreigner, I participates a lot of amazing event with old neighbors and NLC team. We watch films, celebrate Grand National Days,make Easter’s day eggs,have a dance party,…etc.I know more British,India,France cultures from old neighbors.

I couldn’t say I had do something for them, I have to say that I learned a lot of thing from old neighbors. When we have the dance party, I saw many old couples they really enjoy the dance even they have a little bit disable to walk. They dance with wife,husband,friends or volunteers . We all had a excellent time. Although I still not good at dance.The day was very touching me. I thought my grandma never have the chance to dance when she grown up . 

Now it’s time I have to do something real for them. I join the 2015 Thames Path Challenge . I will walking 50KM in aid of North London Cares on 12 September. It’s a fundraising event . My target is to collet over ￡300 .
