We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

On the 15th September 2015 I'm taking part in the Great North Run to raise as much money as possible for Diabetes UK.

My son Oscar is 4 years old, he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 3 years ago.  Dealing with diabetes day after day can be really hard, especially if you are reminded that it can make you lose your sight, lose a limb, cause your kidneys to fail or trigger a heart attack or stroke.

The money you donate to Diabetes UK means people with diabetes can get the information, advice and support they need, and scientists can keep finding new ways to treat diabetes, prevent it and one day cure it.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
