Story
I dusted down my trainers and took on 4 half marathons this year. I had not taken on this kind of challenge since I was just a girl of 40. It was tough then, even tougher now.
I “did” Brighton in February, Wimbledon in April, Bewl Water in East Sussex in May, and Hever Castle in Kent today. I think even Anne Boleyn would have struggled to look serene on that terrain.
The reason: recent times have been particularly harsh on small and invaluable charities including SWAN UK, run by Genetic Alliance UK, which provides essential support to the families of children with undiagnosed genetic conditions. This support is has been more important than ever these past couple of years, as my beautiful niece and family can testify.
Any support you can offer (including emotional) will be gratefully received!
