On 27th July, the Beer Chugging Banter Monsters (name tbc) are taking on the Adidas Thunder Run 24 hour race (http://www.tr24.co.uk/).

Shout out to my team members; Nick Fleming, Alex Hirst, Jonny Mills and Graham Preston - they must love running almost as much as I love running (and I loooove running...).

Between us we're aiming to run 250km in 24 hours, so we'll do over a marathon each. It's going to be tough, and training has started in earnest, mainly due to fear kicking in.

Although I would be doing this even if I wasn't being sponsored (as I said, I just love running so much), I think this is a good opportunity to raise some cash for Martlets Hospice in Brighton. The support they give to terminally ill patients and their families is amazing - I'll always be grateful for how well they looked after my uncle Richard in the weeks before his death in November 2011 - but such fantastic and dedicated care doesn't come cheap and they are always in need of donations in order to keep up the good work they do.

I don't mind how much or little you want to give, it all helps and like I said, you'll be contributing to a great cause.
