When our beautiful baby Alfie was born 12 weeks prematurely we knew we would have a fight on our hands but never did we think we would lose him. 

After suffering PPROM (preterm premature rupture of membranes) at just 20 weeks into my pregnancy we were told to expect the worst - but despite the odds our little hero hung on in there for 8 weeks before making his arrival on 29th August 2021. 

We sat beside his incubator day & night at the Oliver Fisher Neonatal Unit praying for a miracle.

Despite his phenomenal bravery, determination & the amazing care he received from the staff at the unit, unfortunately Alfies lungs had suffered irreversible damage when I lost my waters so early on and we had to make the heart breaking decision to turn off his life support on 15th January 2022. 

It costs around £1,500 each day in the UK to care for a baby in a neonatal unit, our 139 day stay would have cost a staggering £200,000. 

We are hoping to raise as much money as possible to give back to the hospital that helped us spend four and a half amazing months with our beautiful baby boy. 

Any contribution, however small will be gratefully received helping them continue to care for premature babies & their families.
