Story
6 years ago, when Alfie was nearly two years old, i had a heart attack and had to have two stents fitted. This had a huge impact on myself and my family. I am still here, because of the amazing people at Bournemouth and Poole hospitals and also because of the fantastic work that the BHF do. For this, i am eternally grateful, which is why myself and Alfie would like to raise a few quid to help The BHF.
Alfie will be riding in the British Heart Foundation Ride at Goodwood Motor racing Cicuit on Sunday July 7th. He will be trying to cycling 20 laps (Around 50 miles!!!) on his little mountain bike, which, if he manages it, will be a fantastic achievement. Myself, my family and friends will be helping and encouraging him all the way, on the day. The event is open to everyone on the BHF website so feel free to join in!!
As for me, i am riding with my brother, and 25 of his colleagues and friends, in a ride called the Dunwich Dynamo. This is a ride from central London to Dunwich on the Suffolk coast. A total of 200km, starting at 8.30pm and riding through the night...........on Post Office Bikes!!! We are raising money for a couple of charities, of which, mine is The BHF and cycling in memory of my nephew Daniel, who sadly died a few years ago. This will be a proper challenge for us and i'm really looking forward to putting those stents to the test! lol
Anything you can give would be amazing and so appreciated. I know money is tight these days but if you're going to donate to anyone at all, please please please, give it to myself and Alfie. Every penny will really spur us on.
Thankyou
Alfie and Rich xxx
