Story
Hi and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Along with a few friends on June the 16th this year I rather insanely am planning to do the London to Brighton bike ride! This has been a goal of mine for a number of years and after losing 8 stone in the last year (see pics), it has become possible - although it will still be 54 miles of absolute torture and pain!
As you can imagine, going from not so long ago when I could barely fit on a bike let alone ride one - this is quite a challenge. So to really motivate me and help me complete the ride I'm afraid I'm begging for donations!
I have decided to do the London to Brighton on behalf of a fantastic small local charity which is run by a group of likeminded volunteers. WRAS are a voluntary group that spend an amazing amount of time and effort travelling around Sussex rescuing wildlife casualties and ensuring that they are properly looked after and released back into the wild. They rely entirely on donations to supply the materials and vehicles to do so and ensure that every penny donated goes towards helping injured and distressed local wildlife. It really is a really very good local charity that needs your support.
So if you could donate whatever you can afford I would really appreciate it. I'm not one for sponsored events so I won't be hounding you in the future for donations, but any support you can give me on this would be great. WRAS do an excellent job and I'm keen to support them as much as I can. It will also remind me why I can't sit down for a month afterwards!!
Dig deep :-)
