Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Dementia can happen to anyone and there's currently no cure. There
are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021.
Watching someone you love start on this cruel and devastating journey is heartbreaking. I can't change what is, and will be, but I hope in my small way, I can do something.
In 2017, the year I turn 40, I will be completing a number of events in aid
of the Alzheimer's Society: I will run a 10K (March), complete the Windsor half Marathon (Sept) and Trek the Great Wall of China (Oct). This will be a huge physical and mental battle, requiring a complete change of lifestyle.
I am hoping to raise at least £4,000 by October (the events have already been paid for). I have a Justgiving page, and ask that if, through the year, you would like to sponsor me to do a specific event, to loose a certain
amount of weight, or as motivation to keep going, please do! I will be
posting updates of my progress, and letting you know how I'm doing!
Wish me luck!
