Hi everyone! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, I really do appreciate your support.
3 years ago my Dad, Michael, passed away as a result of Cardiomyopathy.
In most cases, cardiomyopathy causes the heart muscle to become enlarged, thick or rigid. As cardiomyopathy worsens, the heart becomes weaker and less able to pump blood throughout the body, making it incapable of maintaining a normal electrical rhythm. The result can be heart failure or irregular heartbeats called arrhythmias.
When my Dad passed away it came as a shock, as it was something we were all unaware of. Essentially, his heart was too big, which was true in more ways than one.
If you know me, you know I don’t run! EVER! But this May I will be taking part in the Manchester Great Run, to raise awareness for Cardiomyopathy. If this run can help just one person expand their knowledge on Cardiomyopathy, and maybe prevent it from affecting other families, then it’s all worth it for me.
Your donations on top will be the icing on a very large cake (which I hope will be waiting for me at the end of the finish line!)
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate.
Thank you! Truly! Lots of love xxx
