Story
As many of you know I am the recipient of two livers, one at the age of 8 and my current liver was transplanted at the age of 13. As this year sees me celebrate 15 years since my last transplant I thought I would do something to raise awareness of organ donation and funds for a charity that helps young people and families affected by childhood liver disease.
I have entered the Virgin London Marathon, taking place on Sunday 14th April 2014.
I am not a runner by any stretch of the imagination, so this truly is a challenge. Please show your support by sponsoring me. I will keep posting updates on my training and will hold some fundraising events in order to reach my huge fundraising target of £3000. Please share my story with your friends & family as awareness and funds can save lives.
CLDF takes action against the effects of childhood liver disease, providing information, emotional support, research funds and a voice for all affected.
£5 funds an 'Essential 5 Pack'; the key leaflets for every new family.
£10 funds a GP surgery with 'Yellow Alert' Packs
£50 funds a family to enjoy a CLDF bowling day
