Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In a pure moment of madness I entered the London marathon ballot last May and as luck would have it managed to secure a coveted space.
Anyone who knows me well will relate when I say that winning the sports day medal for effort is by far my greatest sporting achievement to date, so taking on the marathon is no easy feat...
Of course I wouldn't be putting myself through 26.2 miles of hell if I didn't have a very important charity to support - the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society. MS is a disease that I have indirectly been affected by for the past 15 years. I am running in memory of my wonderful Dad, Barry Manning, who sadly lost his battle with cancer which was exacerbated by his MS condition last summer.
Dad was a fiercely determined man and fought hard to the bitter end. Taking a leaf out of his book, that sheer determination is what will drive me over the finish line.
I would really appreciate any support you can give so please dig deep and donate now :)
