Story
My mum passed away in 2008 from cancer. Cancer can destroy you at any age whether you are a little girl/boy or a soon-to-be-grandmother like my mother was.
My mum was the kind of person that was always smiling, positive and kind. She had a strong personality and was loved by so many people. She left us alone without her advise on how to move on or live without her. No one deserves to lose a mother, father or sibling especially to something so devastating as cancer.
Cancer Research is trying their best to find a cure but they can't do it without our help. They have gotten so far in the past few years that it definitely gives us a bit of hope. Unfortunately, my mum will not be there to see me getting married or having kids but I would like to think one day we will conquer cancer and have a cancer-free world.
My idea is to run 5k this year, it isn't like running a marathon (I'm not there yet!) but I would really appreciate if you could spare just a few pounds and support this cause!
