Story
Hi – I’m Alex, holistic hippy chick and mum to my bouncy amazing 5yr old, Thomas.
In June 2021, just after my 30th birthday, I was diagnosed with ER+ breast cancer, just as I was piecing my life back together following the breakdown of my marriage.
I was initially very reluctant to follow a conventional treatment regime... As someone who has been immersed in the world of natural health and healing for many years, my mistrust of the western medical system was at an all-time high (not helped by the fact this new cancer was caused from radiotherapy given 15 years prior and, despite my history, multiple MRIs, checks and scans, it had been missed by my doctors and written off as dense breast tissue).
As I battled to keep it together each time I walked through the hospital doors due to previous traumatic hospital experiences (by myself – thanks covid) I knew that this time I wanted my voice to be heard and to do things my way. I challenged the doctors in their thinking and approach, refused to agree to anything without investigating the benefits vs risks and decided to become my own expert and authority on my health and healing. I am grateful that they had the grace to listen, humour me and build a strong therapeutic alliance despite me being a bit of a pain in the bum!
In my journey I have come across many people who have reversed all kinds of issues and diseases, including cancer, by radically overhauling their lifestyle, changing their mindset and clearing unhealed traumas, and so I set out to do the same.
I eventually consented to a mastectomy, which has been pretty devastating in itself, and proceeded to continue with a predominantly fruitarian diet, detox protocols, tinctures, supplements and emotional clearing work. Unfortunately, I seem to have a huge amount of stress in my life which has been completely beyond my control (and we all know how damaging stress can be). Therefore, despite my best efforts to tackle this completely naturally, I have recently experienced a localised recurrence. As such, I have had to take a deep breath, shift my mindset, and accept that some conventional treatment may be required and find the capacity to reframe it as medicine that will help heal me. I am now due to start 12 weeks of chemotherapy in August 22.
At the moment, almost every penny I have coming in goes towards keeping my body as healthy as possible to get through this and stick around for my Thomas. My capacity to work and earn hasn’t been helped either by an autoimmune flare earlier in the year that has been quite debilitating. In my research, from credible sources as well as personal testimonials, I know there is so much more that can be done to reverse cancer and protect the healthy cells from damage while undergoing chemotherapy – but this remains firmly in the private sector and therefore financially out of reach.
I would therefore be deeply appreciative of any help and donations that you might be willing to give – and if you cannot spare anything at all I would gratefully receive any prayer and positive thoughts you could send my way.
I will be sharing updates about my progress, detox protocols and research behind the complimentary therapies and tools I am using on my Facebook and Instagram if you would like to stay updated:

I’ve done this before and I can do this again – but this time I want the focus to be on health rather than illness 😊
I am raising money with the help of Yes to Life to help me fund:
• Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
• IV Vitamin C Infusions
• Ozone therapy
• Healthy, organic food
• Therapy to clear and heal past traumas
• Supplements
