Story
I am running 10km on May 27th 2013 to raise money for the MSA Trust in memory of my mum who lost her battle in 2004. MSA is a rare but devastating neurological disease which is similar to Parkinson’s but much less common - is caused by the degeneration of nerve cells in the brain and eventually affects everything from balance to bodily functions. There is no cure and it’s so rare that many GPs have never heard of MSA.
The Multiple System Atrophy Trust is the UK’s support and information service for people with multiple system atrophy, their families and carers. It also funds research into the treatment and causes of MSA.
