Story
As many of you will know, my Mum passed away from cancer on September 27th 2010. She fought long and hard over the past year and I am incredibly proud of her. X
When my Mum was receiving treatment, I said that if her hair fell out, I would cut off my hair and have a wig made for her. My Mum said she wouldn't let me and as we're both incredibly stubborn, I suppose we're lucky that she never lost her hair!!
This year hasn't been the best and I'm feeling the need for a change - so I'm going to cut my hair. Yes, my long hair that so many of you love, is going to be gone! However, it will be going to a good cause!
The Little Princess Trust creates wigs for children who have lost their hair due to treatment for cancer or from alopecia. As the charity requires 10" minimum length of hair, I will have whatever style is required - though I believe I will be having a chin length bob...! I know that might not seem like a very 'drastic' cut, but I figured as I was going to donate my hair anyway, I might as well try to get some funds for this wonderful charity!
If anyone would like to donate their hair, or for more information on the charity, please visit their website: www.littleprincesses.org.uk
I don't think anyone can imagine what it would be like to lose their hair, let alone have to fight a disease at the same time, so thank you for visiting my page and PLEASE donate what you can to this incredible cause!
Love, Alex x

SO, although it was delayed, I have now had my hair cut!! Please see the photographs for evidence! I will be sending off the hair tomorrow (Weds 8th Dec) and will be continuing to collect money for another week or so! I truly did not believe that I would manage to raise more than £10, so to be nearing £300 right now is incredible and I cannot say how happy it makes me! Thank you to everyone who has donated or is about to donate! It means so much to me and I'm sure it means so much to the children you will be helping! Thank you, once again! Lots of love, Al x
