Me and some friends have all grouped together to raise money to support victims of Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease (CJD) by doing a sponsored skydive!CJD is not the most common or well-known disease - but the impact it has on its victims and those close to them is beyond measure. Even in this age of modern medicine there is virtually nothing that can be done for victims of CJD, no cure and no treatment apart from treatment of specific symptoms.
This is a cause we feel is personal to ourselves and to me in particular. We hope that by doing this we can make a small difference and maybe help work towards finding some form of treatment or cure or at least continue funding support of its victims.
