Story

Hello!

I’m Alexa and currently I’m a year 13 student, studying for my A-Levels in Cumbria. I have decided to volunteer in Senegal with Project Trust for September 20233 for so many reasons. I want to be able to share the opportunities that I have been given in education with children in Rural Senegal. I would like to experience and be immersed in a culture so different to ours by giving back to that community. Project Trust is an amazing Charity that supports volunteers and the community they are going to, to ensure safety and support.

With the hopes to be volunteering with Project Trust I need to raise £7000 and I’m planning on doing this through community based services, events and personal challenges.

Any donations would be amazing and I really appreciate your support!

Keep an eye out for any updates about my upcoming fundraising events and activities!

RCN SC025668
Project Trust is a Scottish-registered educational charity providing young people in the UK and Europe with international volunteering experiences. Project Trust Volunteers are based in projects in Africa, Asia or Latin America for 12 or 8 months supporting teaching or youth development work. Empowering global citizens Project Trust’s aim is to empower generations of young people to act as responsible and active global citizens. We support ethical, long-term volunteering experiences which enable the Volunteers to make a meaningful contribution to their host community whilst building knowledge, skills and cultural intelligence. Project Trust works with a small group of Volunteers each year, allowing the staff team to know each individual’s skills and interests. This allows us to place Volunteers in projects where they can get the most out of the experience and enables our staff to provide tailored support to each young person. Project Trust strives to be open to all young people with the desire, motivation and aptitude required to benefit from a long-term, ethical, volunteering placement
