Story
I am running the London Marathon for Bowel Cancer UK because 1 in 15 men and 1 in 18 women will be diagnosed with this disease in their lifetime. Bowel Cancer is treatable when caught early, however, still remains the second biggest cancer killer in the UK.
I am running in memory of my partners Dad Wayne who passed away aged 41 from the disease and also a very close family friend Alan who passed away this year. Money raised will go to vital research and awareness needed to ensure we live in a future where Bowel Cancer is no more. Please support me on my target to raise £2,500.
We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. We’re here to stop people dying of bowel cancer.
