Virgin London Marathon 2011 · 17 April 2011 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Autumn 2010 and I sat around in a stress whilst a Dr told me that I wouldn't be able to do anything for a few months on account of me tearing my groin. So as a way of forcing myself to get off my fat bum as soon as I was able to run again I decided to enter the London Marathon (knowing that there was a bloody good chance that I wouldn't get in). Unfortunately I actually did get in on a ballot place which meant not having to raise a minimum amount for one of the mainstream charities. As the time has drawn closer, guilt has got the better of me and now I am on a mission to raise some serious Greenback for a Charity which doesn't get the same sort of exposure as others. For those that do know me, you'll know that this is no easy task for me, especially considering the amount of Terry I have put on whilst being injured, but all being well i'll put in every ounce of effort and try not to get beat by someone dressed as Abraham Lincoln as I did when running the Bath Half in 2008!
The reason I have picked C.A.L.M is I wanted to choose a charity that was local to Swindon but also one that is raising money and awareness for something that I am sure we can all sympathize with in one way or another. For more information about what C.A.L.M do then please click on the link provided on this page.
So please dig deep and donate now. I mean I must be less annoying than those people in Town with the clipboards trying to get you to set up a Direct Debit for an Epileptic Dogs charity. x
