If you know me then you would know I am awful at exercise, in fact upon telling my immediate family I decided to run the London marathon they not only fell about laughing they all decided they would need to watch this miracle (joy!)…. On top of this it appears I have got old and running actually hurts now! So when I say this is a challenge it really is…. Believe me I have only so far run 8km after weeks of training and I am already in immense pain.
On a more serious note last year my dad was diagnosed with Primary Progressive MS - For those that don't know (and I was one of them) its a really screwed up disease that not only restricts an individual from living a normal life there is also no return from every symptom that occurs which not only has physical effects on the individual it also has incredible psychological effects. BUT it doesn’t have to be that way and there is some incredible research and trials taking place that could at worst slow these symptoms and at best stop them, which is why I am running what can only be hours of pain and hopefully joy at the end.
Please give as generously as you can - Every £ counts and will keep me going!
