Story
I'm running the Abbots Langley Tough Ten on 2nd October. I have gotten to know the Tough Ten committee and all the wonderful work they do recently and would very much like to help them by raising £1,000.
Abbots Langley Tough Ten started in 1982, with the aim of raising money for the charity MENCOP. Over the years, its support has widened to provide funds to help local clubs and charities continue with their
good work, to assist schools with special projects and individual
beneficiaries to improve their quality of life.
Constantly seeking deserving local beneficiaries, the Tough Ten’s funds have provided specialised equipment for the less mobile in the
form of hoists, beds, wheelchairs and tricycles, contributions to
medical care costs for many people in the area and donations to baby
units and hospices. They are a registered charity and I have personally seen their work in action and they are really unique and effective, and I would really like to help them so please do help me do this.
You are welcome to come along on 2nd in what will hopefully be a nice day out (adult and kids races too), with Graham Taylor giving out the medals at the end. There is also a ceremony in the New Year where you can see the funds awarded.
So please do help me raise this money otherwise I'll just email you again:)
