Story

So, I'm running the Derby Kilomathon, 16 miles. The Brighton Marathon, 26.2 miles. The Nottingham Marathon, 26.2 miles. And cycling from John O Groats to Lands End, 1000+ miles! For my Loughborough friends, a marathon is like running to Leicester and back (and then a bit more!), for my Chelmsford friends, that is like running to Colchester (and then a bit more!). There are 4 main reasons why I am running this:

1) Christian Aid is a fantastic charity that does lots of relief work overseas, and the money you give will be put into safe, reliable hands who will use it wisely and make lives better. A worthy cause.

2) I have become somewhat podgy and want to lose 3 stone in 3 months! Surely a donation is worth it for the sight of seeing me running around Loughborough continually, and seeing me eat vegetables (yuck) rather than pizza!

3) It will really help me in my continued struggle for sound mental health :-)

4) I ran a 10k race last year in 57 mins, and I am training hard in the hope of doing it in 4hrs 30mins.

So please consider giving generously :-) My first marathon is on Sunday 10th April so I have 3 months of hard training ahead of me (as of 10th January, 3 months today eek!), and I have a hard training plan of 5 days a week. Any donations will be a huge encouragement!

Thanks, God bless!

Alex
