Story
So…. I may have gone totally nuts but in 2014 I'm hoping to run a very big race and clmib a very big mountain.
In the process I am aiming to raise funds for Future Sense Foundation who are a community development charity that supports deprived communities globally by working with over 100 non for profit organisations. They work across the three main areas of education, child welfare and livelihoods through projects such as supplying volunteers to strengthen English language teaching in schools, providing grants to sustainable business start ups and supplying financial resources to victims of HIV/AIDS.
Currently they have live projects in Romania, India, Nepal, Tanzania, Ecuador and Chile and I am hoping to use my TEFL certificate to volunteer teaching english for two weeks in Tanzania before I climb the big K. It would be great if I can take as big a financial donation as possible with me. Tanzania still has a current inflation rate of 9.8%, 1.4 million people living with HIV, and set to only reach 3 out of 7 of its Millennium Development Goals (primary school completion rates are particularly bad).
I'd be very grateful for your help, no matter what you are able to donate.
Alex :)
