Story
As many of you are already aware, between the 16th of April to the 30th of May 2017 I will be walking the roughly 500 miles (or 780km) from Saint Jean Pied-de-Port in the foothills of the French Pyrenees to the majestic ancient city of Santiago de Compostela in the northwestern Spanish region of Galicia, a place close to my heart. This route has been known for at least the last thousand years as 'El Camino de Santiago' and the particular path (one of several caminos) I am taking, the Camino Frances, will lead me through several major cities such as Logrono, Burgos and Leon, as well as countless tiny hamlets and mountain villages along the way.
If you are entertained by the thought of me walking until my feet are blistered and bleeding and my kneecaps detonate, please consider donating a little something towards my charity of choice. Macmillan do an amazing job supporting sufferers of cancer and I think it's only fair that we should do something to support them in turn.
