Story
Well myself, Doug Ogden and Darryl Mclean have decided to cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats. I've still not convinced myself this is a sensible idea. Theres got to be more pleasant things than spending 8 hours a day on a tiny saddle and staring at someone elses' backside. However its a challenge and most of you will know I like nothing better than a challenge.
The route we are taking will be 976 miles and we are aiming to do this in 10 days, starting on 2nd June. So thats near enough to 100 miles a day. And if thats not enough, theres plenty of hills on the way including going over 2 Scottish ski resorts.
As we make our way up England’s green and pleasant land (taking in bits of Wales on the way) and through Scotland’s Lochs and Highlands we are hoping to raise some money for Dreams Come True.
Dreams are a national UK charity that works hard to make dreams come true for children and young people with serious and life-limiting conditions aged between 2 and 21 years old.
Fulfilling a dream can help a child or young person to think beyond their illness or disability and focus on something highly positive and empowering. The experience can create amazing memories for entire families and our friendly and knowledgeable team are there to help every step of the way.
