The Book Bus works with children in underprivileged communities in Malawi, Zambia and Ecuador. They have three mobile libraries and take volunteer storytellers to locations where the children have scant resources, the schools are often oversubscribed and children’s books just don’t exist.

We are going to be volunteer storytellers, travelling to Malawi and Zambia from 18th May to 2nd June 2012, to read to the children. We're doing it because we think it will be a fantastic opportunity to see life as it really is in Africa and make a difference while we're there. That's why we're raising money - to help Book Bus continue this fabulous work.

We're being supported by Pearson Education who have donated books for us to take with us and leave with the children.

We're hoping that one of the schools we visit will want to 'twin' with Ley Hill School to share stories and experiences.
