Inspired by my wife, I have decided to run the half marathon 'Run to the Beat'. Money raised will go straight to the incredible WSPA.

WSPA’s vision is of a world where animal welfare matters, and animal cruelty ends.

WSPA has been promoting animal welfare for more than 25 years. Their work is concentrated in regions of the world where few, if any, measures exist to protect animals.

Now, I haven't done this before, but I reckon I can EASILY do the 13.1 miles in around 10 minutes (including lunch break). The more you give, the faster I'll run.

This will be a demanding personal challenge for me, and the fact that a charity will benefit too is a double-whammy.

The race, now in its fourth year, starts and finishes at The O2 in London on the 25th September 2011
