Story

My name is Alessia Jones and this is my story so far...

In September 2012, I began my studies at the University of Birmingham and it was here that I came across the company student adventures, they organise sponsored treks in aid of a variety of charities. My interest immediately sparked as I couldn’t imagine a greater opportunity.

So in July 2013 I will embark on a fantastic adventure, I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Meningitis Research Foundation. This amazing opportunity will challenge me both physically and mentally but the work and research MRF conduct inspires me to put all my efforts into raising as much as I can for their charity!!

Meningitis Research Foundation’s vision is a world free from meningitis and septicemia - this vision is one I believe should be shared by all.

Any donation of any size can help to make this vision a reality, the money you donate will help to fund research projects that prevent the illness and it will also help to educate people by raising awareness of the symptoms.

So please dig deep and donate for this great cause!
Many thanks in advance.

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
