Covid has hit our students and beneficiaries in Azezo, Gondar (Ethiopia) hard. The 2020/21 university intake was postponed as schools were closed, while this year's end of year exams have also been delayed. Studying remotely has also been very difficult for many of them, due to a lack of technology.
The Daughters of Sant'Anna who run St Raphel's School for Blind and Partially-Sighted children have therefore also had to look after another year's worth of students---those who would have gone to university last year---as well as keeping the children safe from covid and helping them to study remotely. This has been an additional financial burden.
We are raising funds to support the greater number of students who will be supporting next year, due to the delayed university start; as well as to assist the Daughters of Sant'Anna in their important work.
Thank you for your support. You can find out more about our work at www.aysanew.org
