Well it seemed like a good idea at the time, so along with a group of collegues I decided to take part in the London to Paris bike ride in aid of Shelter from 24th-27th June 2011.

This I have discovered is no mean feat but a arduous 200 mile cycle journey over hilly terrain in summer temperatures and all to be done in just 3 days.

Considering I have not ridden seriously for a few years the hard work starts now, with training rides starting now in temperatures which just about above freezing over the next numerous weekends and weekdays from now until June.

Plus there is just the small matter of raising the minimum £1200...
