Story
Many thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
‘We’ are father and daughter, Alan and Sally-Anne. After Alan discovered the great benefits of walking earlier this year, he decided he wanted to walk with a little more purpose. Sally-Anne could not let her father beat her, so decided to join him!
As you can see by the new pictures we did it - yipeeeeee!!!
It was hard going, the ground was wet and muddy (we nearly lost our boots several times), the hills were long and tough but we had lovely weather, saw some beautiful sights and now can wear our medals with pride!
The Memory walk was a marathon covering part of the St Cuthbert’s Way and ended at Lindisfarne Priory on Holy Island, it is in aid of Alzheimer’s Society. Most of you will have come across someone who has suffered from Alzheimer’s or who has a relative or friend who has nursed someone with this condition. We certainly have within our extended family, and have seen first hand how hard it can be for all concerned.
