Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I completed my first full marathon in 5hrs 24mins and 54 secs and had a fantastic day !!!

I had heard about the wonderful care and support that St Clare's provides to terminally ill people and when a good friend lost her dear Mum with cancer there last year I decided to put my ballot place to good use and offered to join St Clare Hospice VLM team and try to help them hit their sponsorship target and raise much needed funds for this local charity.

Susan Bowcher sadly lost her fight for life but spent her last hours in the care of St Clare Hospice along with her family. So with the permission of Hayley Bowcher, Susans daughter, i wanted to run in memory of Susan and also for the many terminally ill local people suffering with life-limiting illnesses.

A huge thank you to all for your kind support and good luck messages that everybody has given me, and a massive thank you for all of your very kind donations, it really kept me strong and strengthened my determination to keep going while running the marathon course. A really big thank you to my fantastic partner Pat, she has supported me all the way in this venture, done some great work with her help in my sponsorship, helped me tremendously with my training, (cycling out with me on my long runs !!!), doing so many supportive things for me and helping to make my marathon weekend a real good experience, and seeing her on the Embankment was so fantastic, and so emotional, she is a star,thank you my darling, I am eternaly grateful, you are simply the best , and I love you so very much xx

I hope all the St Clare hospice team had a wonderful day and enjoyed their marathon day as much as I did. It will be good to catch up and trade stories about the day.
