Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hello everyone my name is Aaron. I was born with a poorly heart and have had to have lots of operations at the Freeman Hospital to make it better again. I now have a tracheostomy, a pacemaker and a mechanical heart valve and I have had to spend alot of time on the PICU at the Freeman Hospital.
I want to give a big, big thank you to all the lovely nurses and doctors who have looked after me and so my daddy Alan and his friend Stue are going to do the Hadrian Wall challenge on the 13th October 2012 running from Carlilse to Newcastle Quayside to raise money for the PICU at the Freeman to help other children in the future.
Stue is also running for the Firefighters Charity as he is a fireman. It would be lovely if you could donate a little something to each charity and the link to the Firefighters Charity is also on this page just follow the link under Hadrians Challenge.
Thank you everyone and hope to see you all soon when I get out of hospital.

Dear All. Unfortunately Alan was unable to run on Saturday as intended due to a back injury he succumbed to on the Wednesday. He took it up to the wire and attended intense physio sessions however was strongly advised not to attempt the run. Needless to say he was absolutely gutted and still intends to do the run however realistically it will not be until the springtime due to weather conditions and daylight hours and when his back recovers enough to allow him to start running again. Stue did complete the Hadrian’s Wall Challenge of 66 miles in an amazing time of 11 hours and 45 minutes which is an outstanding achievement and we are so proud of him.
Thank you for your continued support and donations so far we have been overwhelmed by the response.
